Health talks: Water is good for you

Hey lovelies
Water is nature's (natural) refreshing tonic. If you have not been capitalizing on water's refreshing quality in this heat, you need to start doing so. You save all the tissues of your body from drying up and scarring when you keep them hydrated. 60% of your total body weight is made up of water thus there is always a constant need to supply your body with water to maintain this balance. The feeling of thirst is a physiological response by your body to prompt you to maintain this balance within the cells.

So while your body is sweating profusely in this summer heat, use water to balance things up.

Water also enhances the process of toxin removal in the body. You'll realise that the more you drink water, the more you'll feel the need to clear your bladder (and bowels).
Each time you excrete, waste products in the body are being expelled.

Here is something even great about water, you can check your appetite and excess food consumption by drinking water. A great tip for weight watchers. When you feel the urge to eat something, a glass of water will fill you up and keep you refreshed and you can eat only when you really need to. To eat smaller portions of food (which is very recommended) you can start by drinking water before eating and this will occupy most of the space in your stomach, so you can eat less and still feel full. You can also use this trick to stay away from snacking. Water has no side effects, except for frequent urination but excess food consumption will supply unwanted calories.

You can also add a little bit of creativity somewhere and you can actually use water to lose some weight. When you drink cold water, the body uses the retained calories in your body to warm it up to the body temperature. That means that every time you drink something cold, your body has to engage some of the calories in your body. It's very logical that this can help you cut down on a few calories at the end of the day depending on how much you engage them.

Also, drinking water after your meals aids with the digestion process.

Drink up, lovelies
It's refreshing.

Love always
JB
