World Health Day 2014

Hey lovelies
Today is World Health Day
This year's theme is 'small bite, big threat' to create emphasis on vector borne diseases.



Vector borne diseases include those diseases that are transmitted by organisms via pathogens from one infected host to another. They include malaria, yellow fever, dengue, lyme disease, onchocerciasis, leishmaniasis, dracunculiasis ...
These diseases can simply be prevented through vector control and that is the focus for the World Health Organization.
