Then he asked me to do a personality test and he tried to put it very mildly. "It's very helpful to learn about your personality so you can know how to use your strengths and weaknesses to your advantage"
"But isn't that supposed to be normal?"
He said most people wouldn't care, rather would come back and continue drinking, but he is very sure someone like me wouldn't.
By the time he was done, I booked in for a session. (You bet)
And that was our first real session. It was just about me talking and he was trying to draw inferences from things that stood out for him. On that one, things got even heated up the more.
He was trying to delve into my love life and I was very hesitant. I am usually very protective of that part of me. I'm sure you would have even noticed how much I do not talk about that aspect on my blog. I think when it comes to relationships, everybody has their particular desires and goals, and I absolutely dread it when anyone tries to tell me what they do in theirs and think everyone should fly by that, hence, I try to keep a lot of mine to myself and a few of the special people in my life. Having said that, I intend to just losen things up a bit and be as open to this psychologist as much as possible in my next session. Let's see what he will be able to unlock with those details.
It's never easy trying to bare myself like that to a total stranger, but I promise to try.
Wish me luck :)
So just out of curiosity, how many people would walk back into the room and continue drinking like they never stepped out?
