Trip Diaries: Madrid, Spain

Hey Lovelies

Madrid is the capital of Spain. It is the third largest city in the European Union (It'd be second when London is officially off the EU).
Spanish is the official language, but you will find a lot of people who speak English.

I particularly love Madrid, Spain for its relatively warm climate (compared to most parts of Europe during winter) the nicely tended parks and boulevards.
Madrid is renowned for its rich repositories of European art. If you are an art lover, you will appreciate your visits to Museums where you can find works by some of the big names that make the art world tick.

Madrid is the home of the Spanish Monarch.  It has a steady influx of tourists yearly, and even has the Headquarters of the United Nations World Tourism Organization located there.

It’s home to Real Madrid FC and Atletico de Madrid FC but somehow, Real Madrid seemed to be more of a household name than the latter, it was easier to choose which one I wanted to visit as I could only visit one of them.

The Santiago Bernebeau Stadium is quite a site.

The city centre is always bubbling.
You can find both modern and ancient infrastructures. That is the beauty of this great city, the fascinating blend of both the modern and ancient bits.

Madrid is one of the three cities you should visit if you are making a trip to Spain. I want to visit Spain again but I doubt Madrid would be at the top of my list if I am making another trip there and that is only because I fell in love with another city the last time I was there. I'll tell you all about it in another post :)
